The idea for Nini Amsterdam was born at a very quiet and very special moment in my life, the moment I was holding my newborn baby and realised how captivating these first days truly are.

I was looking for a gift that could capture that moment. Something more meaningful than flowers, more lasting than clothes, more personal than anything I could find. I wanted something beautiful, but also something with a story. Something that would grow in emotional value as time passed.

When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to create it.

That’s how the personalised jacquard woven blanket was born. A blanket that carries your baby’s name, birth date, time and weight, woven into the fabric itself. Not printed on top, not added afterwards, but truly part of the blanket. Designed to be soft enough for the first days, and timeless enough to be kept for life.

In our home, it became more than just a blanket. It became part of the birth stories, part of the nursery, part of the memories. A keepsake that will one day be shown, passed on, and treasured.
